English Version

I believe that life never leaves us alone. Even when we believe to be alone, it always accompanies us. Today, Saturday 4th of October, I got inspired from the village of Bolgheri, the old countryside of Giosue Cardiacci. I took the first bus from Livorno which brought me at the train station for Bolghieri. Arrived at the Bolgheri train stop, I figured it out that it was almost desert, apart from some men waiting and a girl to which eventually I asked road information. I started walking towards Viale del Cipresso, a road long almost 5km that boasts flights of resistant Cypresses, in which Carducci formulated some poetries. Carrying on, I stare at a farm of local products where a father with his son and nephew worked. Walking my way outside of the farm, I notice no buses going towards my final destination. I bump into the same person of the farm who then drove me at Bolgheri countryside. On the road hefty and mighty Cypresses, the same that inspired Carducci to formulate poetry verses. Arrived at the countryside, I pave my way in towards its treasures. It is a typical tuscan countryside, filled of woody traditional shops beautifully standing on the hills. There was a particular cute one, selling jams and culinary staff on a 'girth style'. Bolgheri is a hunting countryside. In another traditional boutique , I bought a 85 per cent dark Bolgherian Chocolate. While deeply tasting its forrest flour, I kept on rooming amid the narrow alleyways. At my right a wall in stones, with in front sit an old man with an old hat to recall the doc tuscan. I gently lower my gaze in a woody bucket on the floor, which contained rare magazines and journals where there was an image of a young dancer, and a title on that : 'Badalassi and the dance as cure'. Dance is one of my cures in fact. life caresses, hugs and kisses us if we let her..

Caparica

Gota D'Agua Surf Camp was the last trip that me and My cousin Claudia did until now. It was a very green experience that we will bring with us for the rest of our lifetime. It was like an Erasmus which gathered around us, young from many parts of Europe and beyond. I found the Gota d'agua surfing a professional and specialised school , truly dedicated to the personal, technical improvement of people in general and of those who especially plan to be surfers. Every morning , me and Claudia used to have healthy breakfast and after that we had surfing lessons in the Atlantic Ocean. Happening once per week, we had also either the surfing theory held by Natan, one of the surfing instructors, or the video surf analysis, where Thiago the mayor of the surfers instructors , showcased our surfing video and suggested a bit of insights which could improve our pose on the table at Sea. We used to go surfing near the beach of 'The Ocean' ,a refreshing and chilling place where after surfing you could have fresh tasty meals.

We also really loved the fact that we were provided with surfing equipments and bikes to use when we wished. The evening meal was held at the campus restaurant of a Brazilian friendly guy and of  Hugo, which happened to be also a  cool and friendly bikes adjuster.

Overall we deeply loved Praia do Irma , Caparica, which happened to be one of the best spot destination for a cool chill surfing.

Sintra's typical houses. Sintra is full of houses of characters, castles and fortresses and noble imperial palaces,  narrow colourful streets and forrest.

Once in Sintra, from some distance one can spot  one white pointed and  sharpened castle which is told to resemble Madonna's bras.

Cascais - the city where many kings dwelled. This city was chosen also by Madonna and Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the places to live and have an house.

CROATIA - The Lokrum island

On the 17th of September, me and the little doll of mine Tracaiana, while in Croatia, found ourselves exploring the curious island of Lokrum, a pearl of the Adriatic Sea. If you find yourself in the old city's harbour, the easiest way to reach the island is through a ferry which can be booked either on website https://www.lokrum.hr/en or in the box office situated on the right side of the harbour. The Lokrum  island , situated at about 600 metres away from the port of the Dubrovnik's old city, spans overwhelmed by vegetation from Northwest to southeast coast. Once you land in the port, you are immediately coughed by the beautiful and colourful peacocks that room freely around Lokrum. A map of the land is exposed at the entrance, guiding you through the wanders of the island. One advice would be that of starting the tracking journey from the right rise rather than from the left, which is the one to finish off. Once you dig in the heart of this island, you would find yourself immersed in a deep woodland featured by flora, fauna , parks, partially submerged sea caves  ,historic remnants, myths and legendaries. An astonishing factor is that the island has been used also a location to film the famous series Game of Thrones. As a matter of fact within the Monastery's complex or Massimiliano's Summer Residency  one could find the exemplar throne of the famous series. Proceeding in the Monaster's indoor spaces, one could also watch some shoots scenes taken during the famous movie production- appearing on them were Emilia, Peter, Kit  . Hanging on the wall of the Monument there some storytelling and legends which dates back to the time of Sissi, the austro- ungarico princess. It goes the legend that once in the Island, Sissi's princess, lost her pearl necklace in the depth of its crystalline waters  and so the islanders decided well to preserve it within the heart of the island. The island is also featured by a very big botanical garden with very vast vegetation like Eumediterranean grassland to evergreen forrest of the Palm Look , to Mediterranean Forrest of Endemic Pines. Being an island, Locrum is surrounded by beautiful rocky sea spots where you can swim with the marvellous peacocks watching you.
